Paris The
man who slapped French President Emmanuel Macron has been sentenced to four
months in prison.
Damien
Tarrell, who slapped Emmanuel Macron during the trial, pleaded guilty and said
the act was emotional. The prosecution denied the accused's explanation, saying
it was deliberate violence. The prosecution told the court that the accused
belonged to a far-right organization and had also chanted slogans against the
president while slapping him.
The court, after hearing arguments from the
parties sentenced the man who slapped the French president to four months in
prison.
It is
believed that two days ago, the French president was slapped by a young man
while he was in an area of the city of Valencia.
